What Are Committees?

Committees are places for fellowship and building the body of Christ as one. Each and every one of us is gifted with different skills and attributes with a mind set to serve the Lord.

Exodus 35: 31-32

“and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, with intelligence, with knowledge, and with all craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs to work in gold and silver and bronze…”

Matthew 6:21

"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

In the arts committee, we will use our artistic potential and creativeness to help build the temple of God.

Job Description:

  1. Design monthly birthday cards.

  2. Design t-shirts (if needed).

  3. Create/design a new offering basket.

  4. Have monthly discussions about Sena and the yearly Bible reading.

  5. Decorations for any Youth events (True Love Waits, Senior graduations, etc.).

We hope that through this committee we will be able to unite as one body and grow closer together while doing the work of Christ.

Romans 12:1-2

"I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."

To become servants for God's community, and to be prepared in defending our faith against the world.

Ephesians 6:11-12

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil."

In our committee, we want to help those who want to pray, and to have an intimate relationship with God. We pray for the church that it may bring us up as one body with the foundation of Jesus.

Job Description

  • To go over and review what each of us have learned or thought during Sermon/Bible Study.

  • Share notes and thoughts on one of the days in the previous sena schedule.

  • Go over prayer request from previous weeks to see if any prayer has been answered. Then to add more prayer request if someone openly wants to tell the group.

  • Read a book in the Bible and meditate each month.

  • Pray for one another and the church.

1 Samuel 14:7

"and his armor-bearer said to him, ‘Do all that is in your heart. Do as you wish. Behold I am with you heart and soul.’”
