What Are Committees?
Committees are places for fellowship and building the body of Christ as one. Each and every one of us is gifted with different skills and attributes with a mind set to serve the Lord.
Exodus 35: 31-32
“and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, with intelligence, with knowledge, and with all craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs to work in gold and silver and bronze…”
Matthew 6:21
"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
Purpose:
In the arts committee, we will use our artistic potential and creativeness to help build the temple of God.
Job Description:

Design monthly birthday cards.

Design t-shirts (if needed).

Create/design a new offering basket.

Have monthly discussions about Sena and the yearly Bible reading.

Decorations for any Youth events (True Love Waits, Senior graduations, etc.).
We hope that through this committee we will be able to unite as one body and grow closer together while doing the work of Christ.
ART
BIBLE READING
Romans 12: 2
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
Purpose:
To strengthen our faith and knowledge of the Bible so we can discern what we should do to be Christlike, and to be prepared as servants of God.

Matthew 6:33
"But seek first the kingdom of Godand his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."
Purpose:
This committee is about seeking and coming to God. We listen to people's struggles in their faith and we use the word to get them to God so that God may work throughout their lives and hearts.
PRAYER
Ephesians 6:11-12
"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil."
Purpose
In our committee, we share prayer requests, and build each other up through prayer. We encourage fellowship, and we also pray for the church. We take prayer requests from anyone- anonymous or personal, and work behind the scenes to pray for everyone.
SOCIAL MEDIA
Purpose:
The purpose of the social media committee is to help promote not only Bethany Youth but also God through our works. Our position is not to be in the spotlight but rather in the background as we use all types of media platforms to share important announcements and give people an inside look on Bethany Youth.
